`ACADEMIC` works specifically use scientific reasoning and evidence to argue a point. Works without this standard of rigor are `ESSAYS`. `ESSAYS` contains essays, lectures, seminars, letters, etc. `FICTION` contains novels, short stories, and general fiction. `HISTORY` contains annals, surveys, retellings, letters, speeches, saints' lives, or other descriptive works or firsthand accounts. Essays or lectures on history should go to `ESSAYS`. Narrative myths and epics are `MYTHOLOGY`. `LANGUAGE` regards guides to language, treatises on language, examples of a language, and any work which deals with one of the Celtic languages as a primary subject. `MYTHOLOGY-AND-FOLKLORE` is for medieval stories or legends, modern folk beliefs, and the narratives of our ancient past. Works that are non-narrative or non-mythical are `HISTORIES`. `POETRY` contains songs, poems, and lyrics.
